- Cooking: Pickled Fangtooth (restores 15000 health and 12960 mana over 30 sec, +12 MP5 and +40 Stamina for 1 hour, requires Level 70).
- Cooking: Spicy Fried Herring (restores 15000 health and 12960 mana over 30 sec, +16 MP5 and +40 Stamina for 1 hour, requires Level 70) - requires Northern Spices.
- Cooking: Haunted Herring ("makes you scared" for 2 hours) - also requires Essence of Undeath.

Catching Fangtooth Herring
New in Wrath of the Lich King. Information here may still be based on beta.
Notes: Fangtooth Herring can be cooked to make Haunted Herring. This gives a buff: "Scared. No loud noises please." Why would anyone want to be scared? Nobody knows yet.
Commentary: The most effective way to catch these is to fish Fangtooth Herring School, which are found in inland water in Howling Fjord. Many pools appear in the large lakes in the northern half of the zone.
