These have become almost impossible to find with most fishable water gone from the Vale and so little fishable water inTownlong Steppes but I found this morning that the small lake at 35.2,52.8 in Townlong Steppes is become the place. Literally dozens of Crowded Redbelly Mandarin schools and even a Large Pool of Redbelly Mandarin. You can fish as many as you need.

Unfortunately that was due to Red Belly Mandarin being the "fish of the day" (make sure you wave to El!). You will not find such a concentration of pools most days. For more information on the "fish of the day" fish look here: http://www.elsanglin.com/fish_of_day.html

However, I fish for Tiny Red Carp there quite often. Although when going for the carp, I use open water fishing; there are always lots of Red Belly Mandarin pools ready to be fished!

Also while not in pools you can fish them in the Jade Forest at the Arboretum
