Fishing in Shadowmoon Valley (Draenor) (Lunarfall Garrison)

  • Size and Skill:

Open water and pools can be fished with skill 1, but the higher your effective fishing skill, the more likely you are to catch larger sizes of fish: 700 skill avoids Small catches, 950 avoids regular-sized catches. Regular catches require at least skill 100, Enormous 650. In addition, the maximum possible catch size from Garrison waters is capped by the level of your Fishing Shack: Only Small at level 1, Small and regular at level 2, and potentially all three sizes at level 3. For details see Size and Skill.
  • Notes:

The Garrison is unlocked as part of the initial Draenor questline. Draenor fish can be caught in Garrison waters after unlocking the Fishing Shack - see Garrison Fishing. You will always catch the fish appropriate to your own Garrison, even if visiting another angler's Garrison. The maximum possible catch size is capped by the level of your Fishing Shack: Only Small at level 1, Small and regular at level 2, and potentially all three sizes at level 3.
  • Commentary:

The catch rate of Bait from Garrison waters is not high enough to guarantee the same type of prize fish can be caught continually. If you are prepared to catch more than one type of fish, the overall catch rate will be similar to that obtained by fishing in the native zone/waters of each fish. Rare catches, such as gear or Lunkers, are not thought to be possible to catch from Garrison waters, so there is still an advantage to travelling elsewhere.
  • Guide:

  • Quests:

See Garrison Fishing for Fishing Shack unlock quests. See Catching Lunkers with Nat Pagle for the Follower Nat Pagle questline.
