The Great Sea
- Open Water Skill: 225 to fish open water without junk. Pools can be fished effectively with skill 1.
- Notes: Many zones contain sub-areas called "The Great Sea" (see Seas). This page lists catches in an entirely separate zone called The Great Sea, which is primarily found between Dun Morogh and Vashj'ir. This water can be fished by water-walking from the western-most coastline of Dun Morogh, towards Vashj'ir. All areas of the zone cause fatigue, so fishing cannot be sustained. A few square yards of The Great Sea (zone) can still be found in Kalimdor, on the coast between Darkshore and Winterspring.
- Commentary: The Great Sea (zone) in the gap between Darkshore and Winterspring's coastline is (intentionally or otherwise) a homage to the infamous "Great Sea UNUSED". The Great Sea UNUSED was an incomplete area of sea that could be found east of Azshara before the Cataclysm.
