This pages summarises the fish that can be caught in Zul'Gurub.

About Zul'Gurub

  • Skill: 425 to fish without junk.
  • Territory: Contested.
  • Dungeon: 20-person, level 60 raid in Stranglethorn Vale.

Zul'Gurub

Notes: Pools called Muddy Churning Water contain Zulian Mudskunk, which are used to summon Gahz'ranka. You will also need a Mudskunk Lure for the summoning. This can be obtained from Nat Pagle after completing the quest "Nat's Measuring Tape". The pools are surrounded by packs of nasty looking crocodiles, so cannot be easily fished alone. Tentatively: Muddy Churning Water only respawn after an instance reset.

Commentary: One can fish safely from the entrance, which made it quite a popular activity while waiting for party members to arrive. Like many other older raid dungeons, Zul'Gurub is now almost never raided.

Skill: 425 to fish without junk.

Related Achievement: The Deadliest Catch: Fish up the Hydra (Gahz'ranka) in Zul'Gurub. The angler will need to complete the quest "Nat's Measuring Tape", to buy Mudskunk Lures from Nat Pagle. One lure (with 5 Zulian Mudskunk) is required to summon Gahz'ranka. Zul'Gurub is intended for 20 people at level 60. This achievement can be complete alone at level 70. Gahz'ranka only has to fished up, not killed. Full guide to The Deadliest Catch.
