Is it possible that you can only get one rare fish per contest? Some posts have reported several in a single contest, but I also read that rare fish initially required a loot confirmation, then a patch stopped that, then it came back. So maybe it was possible to get multiples only when the patch was off.</p> <p>My reason for asking is that I don't understand why a rare fish would require a confirmation box, since fishing can't be a group loot activity. Yesterday during the contest, I was at 37 tastyfish, and starting to get a little shaky, then a stupid rare fish dropped and the confirmation screen nearly made me jump out of my skin. Of course in my haste I accidentally clicked [cancel] and lost it. Then 30 seconds later someone won. GRRRR!</p> <p>Spent the rest of the contest fuming at why on earth you would need a confirmation screen, but I managed to get another rare. Then it hit me. If they limited it to 1 rare per contest per person, it would make it more difficult to collect them all, and the cofirmation screen would be if you caught a rare that you already had, you could throw it back and keep trying for the one you needed.</p> <p>Any thoughts?</p> <p>Can anyone verify that they have gotten more than one rare fish while having to confirm the loot? I think I can retire now. At least once I finally get the Fishing Line. No luck there yet.</p> <p>The very first time I did the contest, I caught 2 rares in about 5 minutes. I got the Lucky Fishing Hat *and* the Fishing Boots! I didn't realize how unusual that was at the time. Since then I haven't seen a single rare fish, so no fishing line yet, but still hoping. Now I have the Blue Fishing hat from the Fishing dailies, the stylish overalls, the fingerless gloves, Nat's Extreme Angler Pole, the fishing boots, the Arcanite Pole, the Trinket, and the Gone Fishin' Loot Card Fishing Chair. I think the best part is, I used to hate fishing in the game, until I got up to around 300, and was able to fish in Outland for raid food. Suddenly, I started enjoying it, even before the fishing dailies, which I still try to do every day. No bucket fish, no 2 Ring, no Mr. Pinchy yet, but I still try. </p> <p>I think it's true that the slow weekends are a bit better to try winning, especially the holidays, like the upcoming 4th of July. :)</p> <p>Thanks to the Love Child and everyone here for tips and stories about a secondary profession I never thought would turn out to be so much fun. Kind of messed up thinking that I had to pick up a quest in Booty Bay before fishing, so I lost a few minutes getting out to the fishing zones. Still got 25 TF before the winner was announced, felt pretty good about that, THEN got a rare drop after fishing another 45 minutes or so...AND I GOT THE LINE!!!! Now i'm feeling crazy-lucky since so many posts have everything else but the line. And I'm totally hooked on fishing. Very relaxing. Although I got a little flipped out trying to hit the pools FAST during the tourney. Sometimes I'd recast after I'd already got in. </p>
