With my latest Horde character I've found a few sweet fishing spots I can fish relatively unmolested in much higher areas. My Orc's level 17, her fishing is at 250, her cooking's at 217. I've been catching electric eels, rockscales, deviates no problem. Then today, all of a sudden no matter where I fish all I catch is bristle whiskers and mud snappers. Normally every 60 or so casts I see some sort of frill such as 10 and 12 lb off hand frill fish. In fact just prior to the patch I had about 400 casts with 2x 12 lbs, 4x10 lbs, and 1 of each potion type.</p> <p>Do you think now a bad time to work on the one that didn't get away?</p> <p>(Also, I swear some accounts have luck modifiers based on RNG + account ID or something.)</p> <p>[Edit]<br /> Ok, well I made 2 more casts just after posting this and finally caught a 12lb mud snapper.<br /> But I still feel that the drop rate is down a good bit. </p> http://www.elsanglin.com/forums/topic/308-daily-quest-quirks#post-3997 Wed, 21 Jan 2009 00:33:55 +0000 el 3997@http://www.elsanglin.com/forums/ <p>From what I've read on the official forums, the daily fishing quests are still sometimes bugged - as they were on the Public Test Realm: <strong>When trying to fish for the daily quest fish, the loot window comes up empty</strong>. This does not happen for every daily quest. I believe that if you continue to catch nothing, eventually the quest fish will appear. I fished up about twenty, double-checked I still had the quest and it said "0/10" on my shrimp count. I abandoned the quest and got it again, same result. Didn't feel like waiting 90 minutes for a GM, so I just gave up on it, that day.</p> <p>Guild members reported it worked fine that day, and it worked for my alt, so I don't think it was server-wide. Someone wins again.</p> <p>Give fish in thinking meh odd, then sever crashs. Quest to win offered to me...but gave fish in...</p> <p>3rd person wins</p> <p>then server crashs.</p> <p>.....and would you believe it a 4th</p> <p>Possibly the closest I have ever been.....there laughing in my face these gms... </p>
