Sorry I don't know where to put this thread... but can someone help please if they can.

With Fishing Buddy, I've somehow managed to get my fishing stats too high up on the screen, and now I can't access the tab in order to move the stats to a different place. I have the top part cut off and can't even see it.

Suggestions?

Hi -- I'm the author of Fishing Buddy, and since I'm going to be hanging out here with all of these dedicated fisher<insert noun denoting sex/race/class of reader here>, I'm open to suggestions for improvements or new features for Fishing Buddy. I don't promise to get to them all, but at least half of what Fishing Buddy does is from requests -- so bring them on!

Is anyone else having problems with using their jeweled fishing pole. My fishing buddy works as long as I don't use it and I haven't been able to find much more info on it.

I was updating my fishing buddy mod when i came across a post;

"This add on is suspicious of having a key logger type file included in your download, be advised...."

I downloaded;

Fishing Buddy 0.9.6n - Release - 3.0.3 - 85,523 - 2/8/2009

Just like to know if anyone can confirme that the mod is key logger free. Thanks.

Hi, this is my first post here so I would like to thank El for an excellent site! I was hoping my first post would be: Yay I finally finished The One That Didnt Get Away, but Ive been fishing to no avail. Leveled cooking 1-375 on 2 chars plus about 1500 other fish so far. :(

So here is my problem, I am new to Fishing Buddy, I really like it but Im having a problem with it and I want to know if any of you have the same problem or an idea how to fix it. Ez cast makes me lose fish, not too often, but Im terrified that it will be the one I need so I havnt been using it. It seems when I double click when the cast is at the end of its channel I lose the fish. It seems to happen a lot more in Northrend than in other areas. But it did happen last Sunday during the Extravaganza twice, and unfortunatly I was 2 fish short of winning ( first try too, Im pumped about next week).

Am I clicking too fast? Is it just one of those random things that cant be avoided? I have combed the internet for people having the same issue and havnt found any. Thank you all for any advice you can give.

Hi,

I've a little bit of data from fishing up coins and searching for Pinchy that I'd like to share. How do I get all this data from Fishing Buddy? I can't just read the screen cause only the first 20 or so lines are shown and there are a lot more coins than that?

I can see it all in the FishingBuddy.lua file so there must be some way of getting it out.

If anyone just wants my lua file, I'm happy to email it.

Got my coin reward last night - it's flippin' great!

creativity on "Macro to avoid auto cast when loot window pops up"

Sometimes when u click on you're dobber to loot it, it doesn't loot right away so i try again (because of switching to browser/wow or misclick or lag it can fail). But with fishing buddy the chance is high to recast without looting it.

So i tried to make a macro and binded it to my middle mouse button. Now i cast with my middle mouse button and with right-click i loot the dobber. i can click on dobber as many times as i want to, to try loot it without it goes recasting. So that's nice. But if possible i wanne be a bit safer for when the loot window of Old Crafty or Old Ironjaw pops up. (when browsing or watching a movie you're attention drops a bit) With a little bit of google i found a code and made this macro:

#showtooltip
/script ConfirmBindOnUse()
/cast [equipped:Fishing Pole] Fishing

I know "ConfirmBindOnUse()" is a valid line, but will it work with /script in front of it? I'm no programmer. Would be nice if anyone could verify this. It's as easy as fishing buddy, but much safer witch feels better.

Greetz

Because I was having 'issues' with some alts, I deleted the wtf folder and my cache files. This was a 'good' thing because it solved my problem with some of my alts crashing when I loaded them.

However...

I lost all of my Fishing Buddy history. :(

Not a disaster but certainly an inconvenience.

Hmm... perhaps the files are still loaded in the 'recycled' bin but then I've already started 'new' data and I probably don't want to go to the trouble of merging them (if it is even possible).

Anyway, fishers beware...
