I haven't noticed any change with the drop rate during Jewel In the sewers, I think it's just a coincidence. A friend of mine, in my guild, has gotten like 4 rats on the same character. Some people are just incredibly lucky while some are terribly unlucky. I had to reload WoW last week and lost my fishing buddy stats in the process. But I finally caught the sewer rat about 5 minutes ago doing the fishing daily. I had quit trying to farm him and decided I would just do the dailies and if I got him ...cool. After doing the jewel of the sewer daily about a dozen times in the last month I got him. I casted over 700 times. I even fished up a ROCK. My base skill is maxed at 450, i am using the Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole (+30) and using the 1 hour (+100) Glow worm for a total of 580 fishing skill. I fished up in the "The Black Market" area right in front of Darhir facing the entrance to the area. If you are facing the entrance you'll be on the left side of the entrance.
