After investigation, it transpired that the <a href="http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/2008/06/25/controller-on-the-fritz/">server host's code was broken</a>. The site was not hijacked or hacked, and all account data remains safe. Thanks to everyone that alerted me to the problem. Apologies for any inconvenience. </p>
