However, changes to the fishing mechanic may remove pools entirely, leading anglers to hunt specific fish in the water. That may favor careful observation - flying may become a disadvantage.</p> <p>Blizzard have never repeated the contest anywhere else, even though places like Northrend's southern coast would be well-suited. Yet it's one of the few parts of "classic" Azeroth that is routinely played by level 80s. Since something about the contest captivates certain players week after week, I'd expect to see the idea copied.</p> <p>Clearly the contest is quite unlike fishing more generally - the contest is far more aggressive and competitive.
