It's easy money, it's often good money (I get 25g vendorables all the time). The croc pets are cool. Make sure you get the achievement. Otherwise it's good for levelling skill and getting paid to do so at the same time. And as others have noted - it double your chance of certain rewards (the hat and rum recipe mainly).
