so i fished for about 4 hours in bay of storms yesterday and caught 2 pound lobsters, rest being the regular fishies. However, when i fish in say mulgore or elwynn forest i find weighted (not max weight) mud snappers every 10 minutes! Is the chance of getting the top weight mud snapper differ in these areas than getting a weighted fish in azshara, and is there the same chance that when i catch a weighted mud snapper that it will be max weight as when i catch a weighted lobster and it being max weight.. Cuz i can clog my bags with 10 and 12 pound mud snappers but no luck on the 15 : /

I fished at Stonebull lake in mulgore for about 3 days, for 2 hours each till i got my 15 lb Mud Snapper...I would just keep at it. I think mulgore is the best place for the fish simply because its the only weighted fish that you can get there....azshara has the most types of weighted fish but i think it's easier to get the max weight fish from stonebull.
I've got my 15 lb Mud Snapper out of the river between the Barrens and Durotar.

I fished mine up from Stonebull Lake (Mulgore) in just over three hours today. Here's my data:
Brilliant Smallfish - 270 - 61.1%
Longjaw Mud Snapper - 163 - 36.9%
10lb. Mud Snapper - 3 - 0.7%
12lb Mudsnapper - 2 - 0.5%
Bloated Smallfish - 2 - 0.5%
Minor Healing Potion - 1 - 0.2%
15lb. Mud Snapper - 1 - 0.2%There was also 20 casts of wishful thinking before I installed Fishing Buddy, so basically add 20 catches of regular fish to that data, with one exception: One of the 20 catches was a Pellet Rifle.
Grand total: 462 catches
I got extremely lucky tonight. I fished this up in about 8 minutes on the east side of Stone Cairn Lake in Elwynn Forrest on the Durotan server. My fishing skill was 575. It was my first try for this.

15 Pound Mud Snapper x1I got my 15 lb Mud Snapper from Stonebull Lake on my second cast. Super lucky, but I've definitely found this is the best place to get it, as it's the second time I've gotten it on two different characters.
Hey I used this site to find a good place for this fish, and I agree with Mulgore, Stonebull Lake, got mine in 93 casts, which i find acceptable, in saying that others haven't been quite as lucky and some more so, good luck anyway!
