I just hope that one of the 2 fishing poles (prefer the Bone one :P) will have +35 or more fishing skill. Now I have to use Arcanite Fishing Pole to get the highest fishing skill, it sure is cool to have, but nobody will notice unless they inspect you, because it's the same model as all the other ones.
Definately wouldn't mind having to do some work to get a fishing pole with +50 fishing skill :P
The sad thing is, now you will look even more like just another newbie angler when you equip the best fishing pole. I'd love to see a new model for Arcanite.
I too would love to see some unique model for Arcanite fishing pole; they could as well increase the fishing bonus a little to give more space for new fishing poles.
/agreed. Arcanite Bonus needs to be upped to +40, and these new poles that we are seeing upped to +35. Tusk arr should stay at +30. ATM i am using Tuskarr just because it looks so much better than Arcanite, and with max fishing and unlimited weather beaten fishing hat +75 lures, i see no real reason to swap out arcanite for the +5 bonus.

Yeah when you got that hat, the +5 fishing doesn't make a lot of difference. However, I don't have the hat and I fish a lot in Dalaran atm. With max fishing skill/gear I got 502 fishing. If I use a +25 lure I've got just enough skill for Dalaran, but with Tuskarr pole and a 25 lure I have a fraction under the "cap", only 522.
Well let's just hope they're gonna update the model of Arcanite, too.
Yea, new model for the Arcanite pole would be great. People have been proding the devs for that for YEARS.
I'm just afraid that if they did change the Arcanite Fishing Pole, new model will be ugly or have a glow or something. I like the Mastercraft pole because the model matches the place where you get it, but it would look out of place getting it from a purveyor of Pagle goods. If they can come up with something unique yet appropriate for the contest, that would be great, but I think it more likely that they would make it something unique yet weird.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the Eternium line now shows as +5 fishing on your poles now.
