I was a bit disappointed to take a few minutes out from the frenetic doings in Alterac Valley (battleground) to fish the tiny lake at the bottom of the valley. No sooner did I cast than WoW informed me that there were no fish in the lake. Pity. I'd always thought that fishing in the middle of a war zone would be, well, somewhat thrilling.

In vanilla there used to be fish there, but they removed it because players were joining just to fish and weren't participating in the game.
