I think we've all experienced the temporary brain damage that comes with those long grinds. The One that Didn't Get Away, the Giant Sewer Rat (not to mention those that we just have no luck with). And of course there's the latest- the Sea Turtle.
It seems like most people have either recieved or given up on the Sea Turtle. A few of us mad hats are still clocking in hours a day searching for the slowest of mounts, trying to find room in our bank for the next stack of fish and abusing our poor fishing poles. But at what point do you start to snap? At what point do you roll up in a ball, fishing with your toes while biting off whats left of your finger nails? How often have you hit this low?
I'll hit 7,000 casts for the Turtle tomorrow. I'm still doing pretty well, but the further I get from the "5,000" point the more the doubts start attacking. I'm almost done with my second book-on-tape (Harry Potter, Jim Dale is an excellent voice actor) and just hoping that I won't finish a third.
Let's hear some of your crazier fish stories, and some tips on how to fight off "fish madness".
