Woot I got one of the Bone Fishing Poles doing my daily quest yesterday. I love the site and noticed you didn't have any shots of it up yet so i put some up here:
the only thing i don't like about it is that it doesn't show the actual line from the pole to the bobber like my other poles do. so the fishing daily today in the sewers was aweful i had to use my other pole.

Pretty sure this is a bug. The pole also doesn't work correctly with Fishing Buddy (won't auto-cast, etc.)
Any thoughts on whether bug (invisible line, delayed appearance of bobber) is going to be fixed? It really makes this rod less than useable, despite how cool it looks.
I like the invisable line. It is great for fishing in dangerous pvp areas like wg and org. You equip your bone fishing pole, /sleep, in say the waterfall across from the flightpath in wg, and fish away. If the opposite faction does show, your fishing line isn't pointing right back to you so you have a few extra seconds to get your fighting gear on before they spot you. If they spot you at all that is. I've had a few just pass me right by.
Well, I finally got one of these bone fishing poles and it now sits in my bank. I'll stick with Nat's lucky until such time as they give this item a visible line. It's a PITA in pool fishing (with a line, you can often figure out if you're in or out faster) or any crowded circumstance (you have to cursor over a bunch of bobbers looking for a wheel).
I also have the bone fishing pole! I really wanted the cartier/tiffany whichever one though. I like how unique this one is, and I was much too lazy to get exalted with Kalu'ak to achieve the same stat fishing pole. No effort at all, just a daily!
I now have the fishing pole from my walrus friends. I got to exalted during the last run of dailies to hit 80. :)
I like it. Great stats, visible line, and looks very impressive on a dwarf. LOL
I really like it as well. The skull and the arm bones suit a Warlock much better not to mention the coloring goes great with my current gear. Line's visible now btw, wasn't when I first aquired the pole but has been since then.
I have the jeweled pole as well...now if I could just get the 55 ring....
i got mine a couple of week's back and it if great no hassels getting. since im not really into questing much (apart from the fishing dailies) its nice. you dont really need underwater breathing since you breath lasts ages now anyways from the rep one. looks great on a dwarf! DWARFS FTW!!!
...and it has awe-inspiring attack power on a shapeshifted Druid.
Evidently sine the original posting, the fishing line bug has been fixed-- Mrs. Dahner has been hitting the fountain lately and the fishing line is a nice understated black color. I don't know what will happen if I replce it with a Truesilver line or something of the sort, but I'll report it if I do.
I finally got this pole this past weekend. Other then the fishing line, which I haven't used yet, it is the best thing I have gotten. So glad it wasn't the Jeweled one since I don't think that would have fit my Hunter's image. :)
I got the fishing pole some time ago but i just wanted to say this:
the line is visible,even with the true silver line and High Test Eternium Fishing Line.
at least that what i see on my computer (maby grahix make the line disapear).
Yeah, my line shows now, too. I think they must have addressed the invisible line problem in one of the recent patches. I don't remember Blizzard announcing it, but I heard here that it seemed to have been been fixed and tried mine out. Very nice.

That's how I remember this fishing pole, and I recently resurrected my DK who has that pole, and it's blue. I remember it was all bone, and bone colored. Am I crazy? Suffering memory loss?

Think it has always had that look, though it will vary some what depending on ambient lighting. Check out the screenshots on wowhead;
