[Fishing] Borean Man O' War

Does this fish have any purpose? I've been scouring the web looking for something, anything, that it can do, but to no avail (other than for feeding a pet). It's a white item, and a mouseover shows that it's "Trade Goods", but that's about all I can find.

I have yet to see a use, but remember that the Lightning Eel started out this way as well. There wasn't a use for them (aside from pet feeding) until a patch added in the Argent Dawn quest and then later the Stormchop recipe.

Not yet. Blizzard already said that they plan to add another trade-skills recipes in future. I guess this is one of them...

    According to WoW Europe:

Our chefs will need to undergo years of training in order to be able to cook the correct parts of this creature and even then cooking it into other foods may be dangerous!

Seriously though you are more than welcome to suggest culinary delights you would like to see this fish in on our Suggestions forum here http://forums.wow-europe.com/board.html?sid=1&forumId=10024

    Just nitpicking here.
This is common misconception as Man o' Wars are not jellyfish. They can resemble jellyfish, but that is about as similar as they get. Siphonophores are colonial 'creatures' in that they are comprised of a very large number of individual specialized polyps and medusoids that all share the same dna but remain individuals while serving a singular purpose in the 'colony'.

    The more you know~

Are you saying that the Man O' War is similar to the Borg, ie. it's not actually an individual but multiple components?
