Dataminers have discovered a new (potential) fishing item, and it's something us anglers have been wanting for a long time.

So far there's squat about the item, only that it is listed as a crafted item via engineering with placeholder mats.
Makes me wonder what will you be able to put in there other than fish, lures and what few fishing gear their is out there...
Interesting. That spell was added in the last beta patch.
Items won't appear until they appear on beta realms. And keep in mind that spells sometimes appear that are never implemented in the game...
Update: The ItemBagFamily table in the data files now has a category #16 - "Fishing Supplies".
This sounds as if it could be the fulfillment of my wish. A nice big "creel" to keep my fish in, like my massive herb bag, for collecting trips.
Something else that's new with the new build - the fishing dailies in SW award 1 fishing skill point each, in addition to experience and bag of fishing treasures.
MMO Champion now lists the probable mats for the tackle box...

Keep in mind that almost all the new engineering items require those materials. That might be intended, to keep things simple. But it may also be temporary.
I'm still intrigued to know what this new tackle box holds. As far as I know, it cannot be made yet.

Most of those new mats are common to most of the engineering recipes. Now, where the obsidian or volatile fire comes from is a different matter.
Yes! Yes! Yes! At last, something to be excited about in Cataclysm and fortunately my latest 80 has 450 Engineering.
We already have been told that the premium cooked food recipes will use fish.
Now, do we have any news about what the new cooking & fishing dailies will be?

I have all of the professional bags trained. Leather bags are the easiest to make requiring only the top leather. The tailoring bags have modest requirements and it was quite easy for me to assemble the mats to make all of them I needed.
The engineering toolbox was somewhat more expensive but not too bad to make.
Volatile triggers were kind of annoying to make (based on Cobalt which is somewhat tough to farm), except that they drop off the mechanicals near Fizzcrank Airstrip and are easier to farm than create. I'm not sure if the Volatile Fire is the new elemental fire or the updated trigger. Either way, they should be easy enough to get assuming they continue to update the mote extractor.

I still can't train Illustrious Engineering, but I found a trainer that actually has the new schematics. The mats are still placeholders though, every item requires the same mats.
