As I (and probably many other people) suggested, the 3.2 patch will speed up cooking if you have the Chef's Hat equipped.

The hat makes cooking blisteringly fast: On the PTR, cooking 40 Poached Nettlefish took 95 seconds without the hat, and 35 seconds with the hat. But I suspect the hat is even better: When using the hat, the lag between each cooking is longer than the actual cast time. If you do a lot of cooking, the hat probably is now worth those 100 tokens. The only way this could be made faster would be to use an oven - multiple dishes cooked at once.
