I must say that old ironjaw has been quite elusive for me too.I don't have any data on him but being on horde side on a pvp server it is quite frustrating.back when I really wanted him I would spend hours fishing, dying and ressing etc.I have lost all ambition by now but I wish anyone trying for him the best of luck

It took me over 1k catches to get him for me, so keep trying

I have caught him on two toons of mine both of whom had low level fishing (below 200) on one it took a couple hours on the other not even an hour.....i have heard that he has a respawn rate of like 4 hours not sure if thats true or not but it would be nice to know his respawn rate :)

I remember when i was fishing for this big one, and GOD, it was anoying. Not cus it took me around 1200 catches, (i got the 1000 achivement that day.. heh.. ) but because i was fishing together whit 10 pepol, and all of them got the achivement and ran off before me. as if that was not enough, 3-4 other pepol also just came running by and thought "Meh, il give it a try", and my litle bro also tried. His fishing was on around. 1-10? and he got it in 2 CATCHES! And i had stood there fishing for 10 hours if i remember right. So as you see, altho you havent got it yet, (And you will, i just know it.) atleast you didnt have to see 15 other pepol getting it before you at the same day.

    GL getting it! LK~

There is no "respawn timer". Items obtained from fishing don't "spawn", they are simply granted based on your roll on the loot table for that particular location.

In theory, you could catch Ironjaw two casts in a row, although the likelihood of that happening is 1 in a million (literally, 1 in a thousand, multiplied by itself).
