[General] Extremely Salty forum title?

    There are a few custom titles lurking. Think of them as Feats of Strength. I suppose people have to do something that impresses me in an unexpected way. But it's a bit impulsive and unscientific, and I'm always a bit nervous that it might not be well received. In Marlburo's case it was for being one of the first to post about gaining Salty (much faster than I was expecting).

    i would like to claim THE first one to post salty. i must admit however there were a few posters who said they had gotten it before me and, i didnt get the expansion the first second it came out so you gotta take their claims as true. honestly el, i try and post accurate stats, tournament strategies, and opinions at least once a week because I cherish this title. nothing is better then referring to this site in the terms of "dude, if you want to know about fishing you go to el's extreme anglin. its THE wow fishing site and they recognize ME as one of the WORLDS first saltys."

    This IS the place for all things fishing in wow hands down. There's still no data on record that shows who or where the first salty title came from. But I do know it was within 5 hours or less of the expansion launching.

    The question is, without having any previous fishing achivements done, who was the first Death Knight with Salty? I hit it the sunday before Chrismas (think it was either the 21st or 22nd), so it took me a little over a month. I'm sure there were a few DKs out there who got it before I did, but basically I spent a month fishing, and leveling only when I was about to fall asleep from fishing.

    Ended up getting my salty at level 72 (when most of the other STV contestants were already level 80).

    Solo-fished the "deadliest catch" at level 66, solo fished the "lurker below" at 72 (the day before STV). Solo'd STV itself. at 70 I managed to have enough gold for a slow flying mount and got lucky with mr. pinchy, but had previously wasted a good 6 days working on the one that didn't get away (5k casts in crystal lake, no 15 pound mud snapper). Finished "away" during the STVFE with the rockhide strongfish.

    BTW, I hit 225 fishing the day I made my DK, at level 58 (right after finishing the newbie DK area), did the nat pagle quest the next day.
    Went from 225-300 on crafty on the third day.
    Went from 300-375 on ironjaw on the fourth day.
    Went from 375-450 in the dalaran fountain (thanks to a lock summon, I was nowhere near level 74 at the time).

    As a DK I now have every piece of gear that comes from STVFE (pole, trinket, line, boots, hat, 2x rockhide strongfish (for dual wielding), and have completed every fishing achievement (not just the ones required for the salty title).

    Any other DKs made salty before/since then? Any similar stories?

    I think Petre was the first to mention it here at the start of December (hence "Deadly Salty").

    I'm hoping El will give me the low sodium version of the title, maybe "No Salt" or "LoSalt"...

    Nice, I missed that post apparently (since it wasn't a separate topic, but was a single post nested in a topic about fishing after salty).

    Any other Salty DKs out there? Better yet, any other pvp-server salty DKs?

    Just curious.
