[Fishing] Fishing bug/feature since Cataclysm

    Haven't read about this yet but do you noticed that nowadays when fishing and the channeling of 17 second ends.
    If you get a fish in that last split second you usually miss it since you don't click fast enough?

    Before cataclysm you usually had a leeway of around 1 sec or so even after the channeling ended to click on the bobber and get your fish.

    I'm on a high speed internet (city wide network) with 100/100 speed and my ping-times are usually around 80-200 to server depending on time of day and load on server etc.

    Is this intended? or do you think like me that its an annoying bug?

    I don't know what it is or what's causing it, but for what it's worth you're not alone...it happens to me as well.

    It has been that way for a while and unfortunately does mean it is easy to miss that last second click especially with anything less than low latency.

    You can click a little before it completes which usually works just needs more focus.

    Yes, this is something we've all been experiencing and is very annoying! Clicking before the last second helps, as stated above...

    ...but my trick is the old double (triple, quadruple) click... I've found that if you start spam-right-clicking toward the end... if you're clicking fast enough it will ignore the first few clicks, and just accept the last one, so you'll catch your fish!

    I also use this trick when I mis-click to catch BEFORE the bobber has bobbed. I'm sure you've all done it... you're fishing near someone else, and THEIR bobber bobs... so you assume it was yours and you click... OOPS! My remedy is the same as stated above... if you realize this while you're clicking, you can just start spam-clicking until the bobber actually DOES bob, and then you will catch your fish.

    I'm sure that could have been explained easier, but hopefully you catch my drift!

    The other method that I discovered is, if you realise you've clicked too early, hold the right mouse button in for more than a second, then release (to be ready to click at the right time). This "long" right click doesn't actually count as a right click :)

    Back to original topic, yes, I too am suffering from the "missed catch" at the end of the fishing cast time - for us on higher pings (playing from Australia, normal ping from here is 350-450), it's possibly even more pronounced.
