Hi guys.
Today I won the Fishing Derby. It took me aprox 5min to catch the shark in Howling Fjord.
Details will come later. Not only did I won the tournament I also did catch the darke herring
TWICE in a row. I dont know about the % chance of that. Anyway it gained me the "Salty"
title.

Shame there's no actual "server first" achievement when you win it (I won it on my EU server too)
it's so funny how people suggest that there is a server first for it AFTER they won... you didn't do anything to win, just thanks the processor of your server rolling the right numbers for you... what for are you proud of ? you'd get total credibility if at least you suggested that before contesting...
but after when the guy has won, and still hasn't enought, the guy wants a medail for winning a roll...
no they won't be any server first you ally dwarf...
and thanks your inn being near the NPC, trust me it's not gonna last...
having 10-15sec advantage for a contest that last a few seconds, is a joke..

I did not post to flex my e-peen. I did post cause I found it extremly odd that I did catch 2 Dark Herring in
A ROW. And yes I was extremly happy after hours and hours, day and days of fishing for that dagger and
finaly got it at the same time I was doing "The Derby".

It was server first cause it was the first time "The Derby" was held on live servers. Do you have another suggestion?
Second of all. I wanted to share the information about the Herring getting caught TWICE IN A ROW during the
contest. Maybe its a bug like the crockolisk quest and catching that big bad bastard in Orgimar.

In the 2 years these forums have existed, there have only ever been 2 remotely hostile "discussions" here. This is the second. Curiously, both topics were related to contests. Maybe contests just upset people, in contrast to regular fishing, which tends to calm people?
