[Fishing] MoP [15640] New Fishing Pole - 'Dragon Fishing Pole'

    Latest beta build includes a new rare quality fishing pole;

    Dragon Fishing Pole
    Binds when picked up
    Unique
    Two-Hand Fishing Pole
    42 - 64 Damage Speed 3.00
    (17.6 damage per second)
    Requires Fishing (525)
    Item Level 20
    Equip: Fishing skill increased by 25.

    Interesting icon for it but no image of actual pole as yet. Possibly from The Anglers faction but area not open yet (perhaps when new beta server goes up?) Wowhead currently don't indicate how it is obtained (ie drop or vendor etc.)

    The stats seem a little weird for a new expansion pole when compared to existing fishing poles. For instance it has exactly the same stats as 'Nat's Lucky Fishing Pole', except it requires 525 level to use rather than 225 for Nat's. It is still 5 fishing skill less than 'Jeweled Fishing Pole' from WotLK. Perhaps the stats will be adjusted or it is meant for lower level characters.

    Still hoping for another epic pole, or at least, one which is more interesting like 'Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole'.

    Looking forward to seeing the style at least.

    And also another, common quality, entry level type fishing pole;

    Pandaren Fishing Pole
    Two-Hand Fishing Pole
    6 - 10 Damage Speed 3.00
    (2.5 damage per second)
    Item Level 1
    Sell Price: 4

    No sign of these yet in-game. Same for the possible minipets. The Pandaren Fishing Pole is commonly used by NPCs. It could be NPC-only, although I hope we will see it sold as an interesting alternative to the basic Fishing Pole.

    True, though the tooltip on wowhead does give a sell price (4c the same as the basic fishing pole) though no durability figure.

    Anyhow, it is a fun looking fishing rod. Here is an image of it being held by one of the <Anglers Fisherman> NPC;
