I didn't buy four poles (bought two and started grinding a third), but my Druid found herself without a weapon on patch day. The pole had been so great for feral dps, I had sold all quest reward staves/maces and anything from TBC I had in the bank.
I had to hastily go out and grab an Auction House blue item and slap a scroll of enchantment on it just so I could play that day. I spent nearly 500g on the new mace and scroll, and *now* they hint at giving my epic whacking stick back?
