[Contests] How to (almost) guarantee victory in Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza!

    Okay, so I had been trying the STV Extravaganza contest for a few weeks until my friend came up with the brilliant idea of bringing a few people with Mammoth mount to help me out.

    I started out on the south-western coast and I had one of my friends run along the eastern coast, and 2 along the western coast to simply take their Mammoth mounts and stand in the pool and block the fishing bopper for the other players so they can't click it (and of course attempt ganks if the player is opposing faction - but most importantly block casts with Mammoth mount).

    I won the contest in 14-15 minutes and people were complaining in the chat.

    Cheating? No one told me about the rules! ;)

    JIC anyone is thinking of trying this, blocking pools comes under Blizzard's harassment policy and is actionable.

    I'll be surprised if Blizz lets you keep the win, especially if players were complaining. You can bet at least one ticket was opened if not more.

    Honestly, if griefing other players was the only way for you to "win" the contest, I feel sorry for you.

    Anyone can "win" something by disadvantaging all their competition.

    I hope you feel proud of yourself, and sleep well at night knowing that you went into the competition fair and square, and proved yourself a luckier angler than everyone else there that day.

    Oh, yeah, /sarcasm off now.
