[Fishing] Is fishing easyer now?

    Sea Turtle: around 600 casts
    Dark Herring: 46casts
    Mr. Pinchy: 33 casts
    Coinmaster: around 4 hours

    am i just lucky or is somthing up? :o

    A part may be luck. 600 casts for the Sea Turtle is fairly low, but not as low as some have managed. There is quite a lot of evidence that Dark Herring became more common. I've not heard anything about Mr. Pinchy - but few are fishing Outland pools at the moment. The only way to know is to fish some more...

    I can say that I got Mr. Pinchy this weekend with one pass of the pools in Terrokar Forest. This was the first time I'd even tried for him (and didn't even finish all the pools.)

    So, its a possibility that the drop rate was increased, but then again, I could have just gotten lucky with the RNG.

    For what its worth, I got my turtle after around 20 casts, and I got my Giant Sewer Rat on the same day while doing my first Dalaran daily in the Underbelly. So take that for what you will.. I personally just think I got lucky, as I had a friend with me for all of my fishing and he's yet to catch any of those things.

    Edited to add: just to clarify, I only fished up a Mr. Pinchy, but haven't gotten the pet yet (I get my 3rd wish tonight, so wish me luck.)

    I'd been trying, unsuccessfully, to catch Mr Pinchy for a few weeks now. I got him on the first try right after catching the Turtle (and 3 Dark Herrings). I've only used one wish so far and no pet, but hopefully if I don't get it this time it won't be as long before I get him again.

    I am starting to share this feeling. After obtaining my flying mount, I was prepared to spend many nights fishing for Mr Pinchy, but managed to get two in the span of a half hour, probably less than a dozen pools fished. I am also getting annoyed that so many people on my server have the sea turtle mount already. Maybe they are dedicated like myself, but comparing their achievements, they seem to have gotten awful lucky.

    My brother-in-law got the 2 ring yesterday. The day before he got eternium line and the day before that he got weather beaten hat (dam you Barlo). It's anecdotal, but one would think they made fishing a bit more "accessible."

    Fishing is definitely not easier. Every man and his dog is out and about now since the new Dailies were introduced. So much for some peaceful time out =/
    Managed to get Dark Herring last night but still no luck with the Sewer Rat, Turtle or Pinchy. I'm still running Old Man Barlo dailies incase i get lucky with the rewards, plus I do a sweep for Pinchy while i'm there.
    I already got the Weather Beaten Fishing Hat from Barlo. Hoping the new dailies will throw me some of the other nice stuff. Highly unlikely as the Oracle egg refuses to give me the Drake and the Hylandir Spoils never have a Bear :(

    Edit : Got Mr Pinchy last night and the Magical Crawdad on my 1st wish :D.
