[Fishing] Is there a fishing area inside of the Exodar?

I’ve leveled up a few draenei characters past 20, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried to fish inside the city. There’s lots of water just outside the capital, and even a quest for a fishing pole as one leaves the newbie area. But can we fish inside the capital itself?

The reason I ask is I thought I’d go there for the next Crocolisks in the City quest and see if I could catch the quest fish there. I know there’s at least one area of water, but its only ankle deep, so I expect it’s too shallow to fish in.

The only water in Orgrimmar is less than knee-high, and both of those ponds are fishable. I would assume that the same is true for Exodar as well. I'd think Blizzard would allow fishing in every capital city.

True enough. I forgot about Orgrimmar. Next time I get that quest I’ll head over to the ship and give it a try.

    This is odd…

I had my level 40 mage port over to the Exodar to try fish in the only body of water I could find within. If I stood on the “shore” I got the message there were no fish there. If I stood in the water I got the message that my bobber didn’t land in fishable water. But that wasn’t the odd part.

I headed outside to look around. There is a body of water just outside one of the entrances to the ship. And some of the shoreline is still within the Exodar territory. My mage cast his line 30 times. Each and every cast pulled in raw slitherskin mackerel. So after 30 casts he had 30 mackerel. That just doesn’t seem right. Shouldn’t he have pulled in a variety of fish?

I’m guessing that when I get the Crocolisk in the City quest I’m not going to be able to catch the quest fish there.

As far as I can tell, there is no fishable water within the Exodar or in Silvermoon City. Azuremyst Isle's coastal fishing is consistent with other starting zones. But most starting zones don't have coastal water. The inland water shares the same quirk as all the low-level TBC areas: Where the inland area takes the generic name of the zone (and not a specific named area within in), the catch inland is the same as the catch along the coast. I suspect this was a programming error. (It was reported during beta, but like almost all the other TBC beta fishing bugs, it was never fixed.)
