[Fishing] Lack of fishing 'skill'

    Just abit of a moan about the game mechanics really ... but im hoping someone might offer some insight , or at least agree with me :)

    So .. Taiah started out with no fishing skill like everyone else did , however ... she oviously has no problems setting up her rod, baiting up or getting a half decent cast into the water .. but couldnt seem to catch much usefull.

    * * *

    Shes now at fishing skill 400 , but can she cast the rod straight? hell no , i stand her facing one direction and she casts it the opposite direction almost and two feet infront of her like a complete newbie fisher.
    Sometimes i find myself casting a ridiculos amount of times before managing to get my cast in the pool ( no matter where i stand )
    .. but somehow her improved fishing skill has strengthened her LUCK in catching fish.

    i hope you understand what im getting at here =)

    Thanks for reading.

    You have a point. Yes, it seems odd. It's also been that way for the 2 1/2 years I've been playing.

    I'd like to see it so that if your skill matches what's need to have no junk in the water you're fishing, your bobber lands pretty much where you aimed.

    If your fishing skill is under that needed to successfully fish the waters, then it should land more wildly. If a lvl 1 skill throws into a Northrend patch of water, his cast should have a huge chance of landing wild... if a lvl 250 skill throws, it would still be wild, but not as much (it would have a better chance of being close to the pool/spot where he cast). A 450 skill should have it land in the same spot every time, or at least very close.

    I hear you; it makes sense. But I guess it never gonna happen.
