[Fishing] line upgrade on a darkwood?

    Hi guys :) If i put truesilver or eternium line on my darkwood pole, will it still be able to be equiped by lvl 15 with 50 fishing skill? And will the bonus from the line be effective for that lvl?

    I bet you will still be able to equip the pole, but you won't be able to gain bonus from the fishing line until you reach 150 or 300 skill. But since now you don't need to go to Nat Pagle at level 35 to learn fishing 225+, you can just stand in a place near a fishing trainer and skill up from 1 to 300 in several hours.

    With all honesty, that fishing line upgrade makes no sense now. More of a vanity item, due to changes to fishing.

    I'd have to check this again, but from memory, once the line is applied, there is no skill requirement to gain the bonus. Obviously that would only work for non-bound poles.

    But you can't bind item that doesn't bind on it's own.

    It doesn't bind: I have a Big Iron Pole with +5 line, which has been passed from character to character over the years.
