I am still in awe of the day I had in WoW yesterday. To start, I was able to play for an hour at work while staffing the help desk and waiting for people to need help. I decided to continue my egg hunt, since I was at 700+ eggs opened and still no stinkin' tuxedo pants, and I really wanted that last achievement. About 40 eggs later, bam! Tuxedo pants! Woot!! My very first set of fully completed holiday achievements! Hardly epic, but personally quite pleasing nonetheless.
When I got home I nabbed the Dalaran fishing and cooking dailies, headed out on my round of Kalu'ak dailies, and hit Exalted! Not lucky, exactly, since I knew it was coming, but very happy anyway. I scooped up my Pengu and mastercraft fishing pole and merrily headed off to Dalaran to turn in my dailies. I turn them in and what should emerge from my bag of fishing treasures but my very own Strand Crawler! Rock on!! Two great new pets in one day!
In the mood now to relax and savor my good fortune, I went to Shattrath en route to Blade's Edge to pick up my last Outland exploration achievement, and grabbed the cooking and fishing dailies on my way through, figuring what the heck. I don't do them much anymore since the rewards I still want also come from Dalaran now, but since I was in the area.... I pick up my quest items, swing through Blade's Edge, return to Shatt to turn in the dailies and peer into my barrel of fish to find...Recipe: Delicious Chocolate Cake! No freakin way! And the day before a holiday event in which these will be in high demand! Whooooooo!!
At this point if I hadn't been so extremely comfy in my pjs at home, and a too euphoric to drive, I would have gone out for a lottery ticket.
Instead, I went off to farm small eggs for chocolate cakes in the hopes of filling up my Buy-Narinae-Epic-Flying Fund in the week ahead. No mageroyal for sale in the AH but hubby is an herbalist, so could gather the mageroyal I'd need when he got out of his instance. So, when I had all the eggs I wanted (160), I found myself with rather full bags and a little time to kill. What to do, what to do...hmmm...I wonder....why not try? Ok, off to Ironforge I go, pulling out my fishing pole with a giddy glint in my eye. Ooh, lots of people in the Forlorn Caverns tonight. All but one leaves pretty quickly, leaving just myself and one other person. Fish fish fish, la la la, hmm hmm hmm, DING! Huh wha-??? No way! No freaking way! Yes! Yes, I did just catch Old Ironjaw! In 40 casts! Out of about 150 total casts in Ironforge in all time! Someone get the marshmallows cause I am on FIRE!
*deep breaths*
I did go try my luck in Northrend a little while in case a sea turtle might be drawn to my sudden and inexplicable magnetism, but I wasn't quite *that* lucky. Hubby did rustle up enough mageroyal for a few cakes, though, which I put up at obscene prices (though lower than one other guy), so we'll see if last night's luck manages to carry over that far! If not, at least I can eat cake and enjoy the comforting company of Pengu and my crawler! Wearing tuxedo pants! While fishing with my new pole! With old Ironjaw in my pocket! Yippee!
