Then, the next day I got both the [Weather Beaten Fishing Hat] AND [Captain Rumsey's Lager Recipe] from a single fishing daily quest.
Still looking for the fishing line...
congrats :-) that IS a lucky streak . I am still looking for the fishing line also :-)
me too, the line is the only thing i still need to boost my fishing skill:)

[grins] I'm jealous. Been running the Fishing Extravaganza for about two years now, on an admittedly heavily populated server [EU Argent Dawn], and have yet to win. This past Sunday, as the time hit 14h18, I caught my thirtieth tastyfish just as the winner was called [is there a record for speed winning the Extravaganza? I get the feeling that 18 minutes has to be very very fast - even on Argent Dawn the win is usually announced at around 25 minutes]. Week before, I managed to pull 23 tastyfish, 20 Stonescale eel, and a couple of firefin snapper from the pools when the winner was announced [at 24 minutes]. [grins] Rare chance of other rare fish indeed.
Im still waiting on the line too! And some of the rare fish around WoW as well.
I've never seen the line, though I got the recipe and 2 pets fairly early on.
A couple days ago though, I just about fainted when I got both the fishing hat AND the gem from the same bag! I'd have bet that that wasn't possible, but I'd have lost that bet ;-)

With the help of this great site, i entered my FIRST Extravaganza last weekend. Kind of messed up thinking that I had to pick up a quest in Booty Bay before fishing, so I lost a few minutes getting out to the fishing zones. Still got 25 TF before the winner was announced, felt pretty good about that, THEN got a rare drop after fishing another 45 minutes or so...AND I GOT THE LINE!!!! Now i'm feeling crazy-lucky since so many posts have everything else but the line. And I'm totally hooked on fishing. Very relaxing. Although I got a little flipped out trying to hit the pools FAST during the tourney. Sometimes I'd recast after I'd already got in.
