this contest has nothing to do with fishing at ALL anymore. makes no difference what gear/pots/advantages you've scrounged up. all that matters is who brings the most friends with mammoths. from start to finish, me and 3 other guildies had other horde following us explicitly, stand on all our bobbers and not let us get a single fish.

I'm assuming you're on a PvE server, have you tried reporting them for harassment? (if you're on a PvP server, all you'll probably get is 'there is a game mechanic that you can use to deal with that problem'.)

I'm Horde on a PvP server and I was actually glad to see an ally with a 3-man gank squad win this week, rather than the same-faction-griefing horde with all his mates on mammoths.
Not that I'm bitter about getting to 34 fish after 15 mins, then being mammothed, ganked and camped for the next 15 mins...
