[Contests] Many thanks El!

My original toon was my original fisher, but with TBC I became a Warlock. Vowing never to level fishing again, I finally ended up selling off the Horde only fishing pole that I kept around just incase (bank space became a minor issue).

Well, about two weeks ago, I decided it was time to do it... I leveled fishing. I kicked myself for having trash the best pole I was ever likely to get (until WotLK).

Not only was your guide INSANELY helpful in helping me know where to fish without that aggravating "got away" message, but as of today, I've upgraded out of the Big Iron Fishing Pole to Arcanite Fishing Pole.

Your guide provides so much information that this is only my second time attempting the contest, and I won!

The macro to display the number of tastyfish was a lovely thing to have, could easily keep track of my fish count without having to open my bag.

Counting catches... saves SO much time. If you catch the third cast and there are still two lures in the pool, just mount up and run!

There's so much more helpful information in the guide that I'd be here for a while if I tried to point it all out. Thank you, thank you, thank you to you and everyone who contributed to the fishing guide and STV Extravaganza guide. I look forward to having your guide of what level stops get aways continuing into WotLK!

I thought for sure I'd lost when my first ten catches contained only 2 tastyfish, and the rest were trash fish that had no business being in my pool :P Like it's stated in the guide, don't give up, everyone else may be having crappy luck too.

    Char - Hoof
    Class - Warlock
    Realm - Ghostlands
Winner of the 9/28/08 Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza!
Second attempt. First attempt ended at 39 Tastyfish, with lure in the pool for the 40th when announcement was made (was so tempted to throw my mouse out the window :P)

PS - Karma's on my side. Had a real jerk jumping on my bobber for most of the time. I can at least say I've won the tournament and never had to resort to paying off people to annoy the competition! :D

Congratulations on winning I remember how I felt after winning. Been tough for me lately going for my second win being on a PVP server. I won't give up tho :D
