[Fishing] Mr. Pinchy's Wishes

    So far, it looks like there is an equal change of getting any of the 5 wishes. However, these results should still be taken with a grain of salt considering the small number of Mr. Pinchy's & Wishes. My guess is that people only notice the pet whenever they don't have it (myself included) and think the chance of getting it is lower than the other wishes. So far, though, it looks equally random (although that won't stop anyone from /crying over the lack of a pet...) Keep posting your results, though!

    I found 2 mr pinchys today within an hour. I was afraid to see what
    I'd get, so I waited 4 hours to click on it. There was a blast and then
    nothing. I's had my finger in feign death in case furious mr pinchy
    arrived.
    But I saw nothing. Then I happen to notice a box in my back pack
    and realized I had gotten the magical crawdad box. No one was more surprised
    than I was! Both of the mr pinchys share a cool down, so I don't know what
    the other will be.

    It took me 4 years to decided to level fishing, and I've had amazing luck.
    My first quest got me the stormchops, and then the spicy talbuk, and
    an I think broiled bloodfin. I found the crate with the fish finder the first time
    I went hunting for it.
    What I'd like to get are the kibler bits recipe. Maybe my good luck has run
    out tho. lol

    It took me a few months, but I eventually caught one. The next day, I caught another. Again, a few months passed, and I caught another one. Once again, the next day, I caught another. So I've caught four so far.

    Thanks for starting this thread, Deathxtreme. When The Burning Crusade was new, I tried to monitor forum postings about the wishes. My gut feel was that all the wishes had an equal chance. It will be interesting to see what emerges here.

    I have loved Fishing from the time I started WoW 6 months ago. I discoverd this page about 2 months ago and it has really helped me in my quest to "Master" my fishing. Thanks El!

    I hit 70 2 weeks ago and go my flying mount and immediately set out to chatch Mr. Pinchy (to the ringing laughter of my husband and guild mates). After having fished highland pools regularly for the last 2 weeks I caught him Friday afternoon in Lake Jorune (375+Seth's Fishing Pole ,hat, gloves, boots and Bobble)! Also, my fishing quest that night gave me Muchbreath the Crock Pet! What luck!

    On my first wish he gave me the Magical Crawdad Pet! Woot!

    Saturday morning I got up to do my usualy fishing rounds and admire my new little friend, and caught ANOTHER Mr. Pinchy (just over 12 hours apart) this time in Blackwind Lake. So I now have 2 on cooldown, just waiting to see what else I get.

    Second wish yesterday was the Gift Box.

    I am definaltey gonna try the fishing contest this week to se if my fabulous luck will finally allow me to win.

    Not true, of the 4 Mr.Pinchy I already got so far, I got around 4 or 5 pets. a pity they are soulbound or I could had made a small fortune.

    i do not post info about what I got because I don't quite remember exactly what I got and in what exact amounts.

    Hello all,

    I have had this toon (Floyd) for quite some time but never saw fishing to be any more than for food/buffs. Just recently my eyes were open to this completely engrossing new aspect to WoW. My fishing skill is not maxed yet but it is close. I just started fishing for Mr Pinchy this week and caught one on the second day of trying.

    1st wish = Furious Pinchy
    2nd wish = Furious Pinchy
    3rd wish = Magical Crawdad!

    I thought I would go ahead and try the fishing extravaganza this Sunday (yesterday) and won! In addition to the win I also picked up a Brownell's Blue Striped Racer for my Boots! I have been doing the daily fishing quests for only a week now and no goodies from there but I will continue to keep on keepin on.
