[Fishing] Old Crafty still fishable in phased Orgrimmar?

    Are you sure it was phased, Usagija? You can't enter Ragefire Chasm from phased Org - or at least you couldn't when I was there 4 months ago.

    You can complete Fishing Diplomat in phased Orgrimmar.

    I did it as of Sep 13, 2009 patch 3.2.0 (10314)

    Obtain quest "Fate, Up Against Your Will" to enable you to enter phased Orgrimmar.
    Obtain Stratholme daily fishing quest "Crocolisks In The City".
    Go to Orgrimmar and fish. Your loot window will show empty for each cast UNTIL you catch the baby crocolisk. The baby crocolosk will show as a "normal" catch and when you loot it, you will receive the achievement Fishing Diplomat.

    Note:
    I have fished in phased Orgrimmer both with and without the Crocolisk iIn The City quest in my log.
    My loot window always came up empty except when I caught the baby crocolisk.

    I fished maybe 100 casts and did not see hide nor hair of Old Crafty. Everyone says you can not catch him in phased Orgrimmar, but since I got Fishing Diplomat I wonder. I have seen no official Blue pronouncement that you can not catch Old Crafty in phased Orgrimmar.

    BTW, I was able to complete the following two other achievements in phased Orgrimmar.
    Explore the entire Durotar zone - leave and enter Orgrimmar by south entrance.
    Ragefire Chasm instance

    Odd, I tried to get into Ragefire when I was in phased Org months ago but couldn't get in. (I don't remember whether it gave me some kind of message or if the portal was just inert.) That's great for Alliance though :)

    Phased Orgrimmar has evidently changed a great deal. For one thing, when I first logged the quest and saw that I was in Org without aggro, the first thing I thought was "Hey! Now I can fish up Ol' Crafty!" (I had gotten Fishing Diplomat long ago.)

    At that time I did knock off Ragefire Chasm, and had Saunders logged in PhOrg for the longest time, racking up cast after cast-- 1500 by my tick-mark count of stacks of fish thrown away. Then I hearthstoned, intending to return at some future date and get that dang rare fish. (I tried the Crocolisks in the City trick, but it didn't work; although I could catch Ol' Crafty, he was unlootable.)

    Now, I file a lot of reports. Goldspammers, deadvertisers, bugs, etc.; and I'm polite about it, so when I interact with a GM, it's a decent experience. I filed one a little while ago, chatted with the replying GM, and was told that there is now no fishing in PhOrg. I went in with another chara and the GM was right. I could also not get into RFC. I'd further suspect that the Elders don't show up there, or if they do are nonresponsive.

    Moral: If you find something like this, drop erverything and do it with all your charas, because you never know when it'll go away.
