[Fishing] One That Didn't Get Away - achievement

After reading comments here and at wowhead and thottbot i decided to aim for Howling Fyord schools.
    My results there are:
2647 total casts from the first cast going for the achievement (99% of those are in schools)
    1401 fangtooth herrings
    0 dark herrings
That was in a period of around 10 days aiming for 100 fangtooth herrings at least per day.
My average time spent per day fishing was 1-2 hours.
I was starting to get really frustrated especially after reading posts that people had caught dark herring in a few casts.
Also i got tired moving from school to school and thought to try mulgore and stonebull lake.
    My results there:
    332 brilliant smallfish
    216 long jaw mud snappers
    5 10 pound mud snappers
    4 minor mana potions
    2 minor healing potions
    2 12 pound mud snappers
    1 warrior bracers
    1 15 pound mud snappers

    total casts 563
All those casts at 5 October

So basically if you are getting tired with not getting the dark herring is not bad idea to try mulgore.
I know i was lucky getting it that fast but still 2.5k+ casts in howling fyord make up for that :).
Also Stonebull lake is good for people that can do other things same time they are fishing like watching movies etc. It maybe take a little longer than dark herring ( according to stats that is) but is a lot more easier just camping one place and fishing 1-2 hours than moving all the time from school to school.

I have spent the last week trying to get the 22 lbs lobster or 103 Mightfish. It has not gone well. I'm fishing in the Bay of Storms on the island where Loramus Thalipedes (NPC) is. I'm starting to get SERIOUSLY frustrated, does anyone have any confirmation on these fish??!! Any insight would be greatly appreciated (and yes the bobber is always within the zone). I'm so heavily invested in this venture, I'm not sure I can stop now regardless but here are stats thus far:

    Darkclaw Lobster: 5853 (45.6%)
    Winter Squid: 2606 (20.3%)
    Stonescale Eel: 1402 (10.9%)
    Big-mouth Clam: 1205 (9.4%)
    Large Mightfish: 1144 (8.9%)
    Spotted Yellowtail: 407 (3.2%)
    Reinforced Locked Chest: 114 (.9%)
    Heavy Crate: 42 (.3%)
    9 Pound Lobster: 14 (.1%)
    7 Pound Lobster: 13 (.1%)
    70 Pound Mightfish: 9 (.1%)
    15 Pound Lobster: 8 (.1%)
    19 Pound Lobster: 7 (.1%)
    12 Pound Lobster: 6 (.1%)
    21 Pound Lobster: 2 (.1%)

    TOTAL: 12832

Judging by the amount of pound lobsters I've caught I can only assume I'm in the right place, and its just a matter of time before the 22lbs drops. However do you think being in Hetaera's Clutch or Scalebeard's Cave might result in more pound mightfish? I know time of day effects catch rate of some fish....would this effect the pound fish drop rate? Lastly I have caught other achievement fish after completing, this hasn't changed correct?

you're never gonna beleive this story......so at this point i was at about 14k casts in when a buddy of mine needs to check my gear because we're gonna start to do arenas together. He hadnt done "The One That Didn't get Away" so he decides to throw out a few casts next to me while he waits on a raid. In less than 15min......22lbs Lobster drops for him....RIGHT NEXT TO ME.....screen shot coming from him, im more determined than ever......unless someone can confirm that you can not catch max pound fish after you completed achievement
