Has anyone caught more than one (different) fish that meet criteria for "One that didn't get away"?
I was wondering if, after you've already earned the achievement, a second, different fish would color in in the window for the achievement?
I'll find out eventually when I get that elusive dark herring, but I wanted to know (for personal accomplishment) if it would be possible to eventually get them all filled in.
In this topic Marlburo seems to suggest that only the first "one that didn't get away" will register against the achievement.
I can confirm that el, as you can tell i was VERY displeased at this. I thought nothing would be cooler then having every fish checked off under the achievement. This however is not possible. The first fish you catch to gain achievement is the one and only one that will have a green check next to it. I have since caught the rockhide strongfish and the dark herring with only my original (steelscale crushfish) having the green check next to it.

I haven't committed yet to catching all of them (but I will), spent all weekend getting golds for my epic flyer. Yay.
So now that that's out of the way, back to casual gaming (meaning down to only 3-4 hours per day). And I'll work on the rare fish here and there.
It sucks though that only one gets listed for the achievement. Did you try paging a GM to see if they can add it or if it will be fixed?
