I found you about two years ago when I decided to pick up fishing, and was having a hard time getting skill (was in too high an area). I looked in the Profession forums, and someone had linked here.
Found a link in the comments section of the Raw Sunscale Salmon page in WoWhead. Had decided to level my cooking on my 70 shaman and quickly realized that I needed the fishing to go with it. I love the site, very well done.
Someone posted a link to this site on Allakhazam in a fishing thread last week.
I’ve been a fan of Warcraftpets.com since the day it came out. I’d been posting on his thread on the official forums before that. I’ve passed along the URL to that site to almost a hundred people in game as they ask me about my pets. I’ll copy down the URL to this site and do the same should anyone ask me any fishing related questions.

About 14 months ago, I had gotten about as far as I could with fishing, using Blizzard's guide. I knew there had to be more info available, so I Google searched WoW Fishing and got your link. You've been my favorite site ever since then, and I come here to learn whatever I need to know... you helped me win the Fishing Extravaganza about a year ago (took me 6 or 7 tries) and I have since gotten every item that one can get to attain the magic 527 skill (with lure). I have helped numerous fellow guildies with fishing hints and tips, many of which came from your site. I am thrilled to get the scoop on the new patch news and am now chomping at the bit to get one of the Bucket Pets (I'm a pet fanatic). Will keep you posted on my progress! Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf!
Wowwiki fishing section a couple of months ago here. I've been directing all my guildmates here when they have fishing questions though, best place there is :)
found this on google a long time ago, when i started seeing the cool cooking recipes that needed items such as furious crawdads and wanted to learn more about how to catch them. now you're on wowwiki and I linked you on my guild website too.

I was searching for info on the Arcanite Fishing Pole when I noticed that someone cross linked this website as a guide for winning the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.
Using El's guide was a huge help - I won within 2 weeks of reading the strategy.
Currently using the site as a resource for Mr. Pinchy (have caught a few, but no crawdad yet), and Fishing Dailies info.

i found this site through google, when trying to find out what zone i could get a certain fish from, i forget which now. immediately i told a guildmate about it, knowing he'd love it. well he already knew about it but hadn't told me, what a brat!

I found this site from WoWinsider, which I found by asking "What happens when I type "wow" in the URL?"
a few months ago, I was rather surprised to see it was WoW related.this was about maybe a week or two ago, since then my fishing skill has tripled, my +bonus has increased by 17 and my determination to get the 2 ring (and sell it for my flying mount) is higher than ever.
I also wanted the Captain Rumsey's Lager recipe, in my attempt to achieve every cooking recipe there is.
I google for "Angelguide"
And that is what i found ... the best Site for angler :)

That could prove difficult unless you started before BC came out and were in an end-game raiding guild. There is a cooking recipe that is only available from the AQ gate opening quest chain.

Discovered it a long time ago in a sticky in the WoW-EU Proffesions forum. Been lurking around for a while and finally registered.
The Hunter pets website Petopia had a link. (I started fishing mainly as a reliable way to provide food for my Ghost Saber.)
Well, i was browsing the allakhazam trade skills forum one day, and calabar had made a topic askign how many of alla's users did the dailies, with a link to this site. I had jsut started fishign, sicne i wanted the bucket pet, and found this site to be a web goldmine of info. Thanks so much calabar ( he has no idea who i am) and El for the link and an amazing site.
