[Fishing] Precision Casting?

Ive been wondering for a while if I am missing some sort of basic Derr knack. When I cast it goes all over the place. Ive tried camera angles moving fractionally, eventually my cast will last in a pool - often on the edge (which counts i think) however whilst I am casting up to say 6 times to get a good pool cast Ive noticed some players come running up (usually on Extravaganza) and put the float in the pool within two casts. This is why Ive virtually given up on winning on a Sunday, as sometimes by the time ive got the cast right , the pool gets fished out. And hence not bothered with one one that got away much.

But Salty is something I would love so I`m wondering - any tips? I cant find anything in FAQs or old forum posts so any help would be appreciated.

You might be interested in Vetchinkin's Bobber Distribution. There's always an element of luck, but by positioning yourself with the pool in the center of that distribution, you greatly increase the chance of landing the bobber correctly.
