    Congratulations. Both to you, Butternugs, and anyone else with the title that hasn't posted here. I'm just as amazed to read this as I was to see the first level 80 this morning (which also only took about 24 hours).

    To everyone else - please continue to post about your Salty achievements here.

    I've given you both honory tiles on the forum for being the first to post about it. At a later stage I will add a self-selection "Salty" option for people that get it in future, and would otherwise be humble "Anglers". That might take some time, because I need to make sure I've fixed an existing problem with the forum profile before adding new features. A list could also be created automatically by searching the armory, but that's a project for "later" - unless someone wants hack an existing armory profile site to provide a simple feed of characters displaying the title.

    Edit: You can now select a "Salty" title in your profile.

    El ty you very much, it means quite a lot to me. In honor of my new title I would like to give some insight on my WOTLK salty adventures:

    First thing, find a friendly mage. I was lucky one of my very good friends was a mage, and as soon as he hit 71 he got the portal spell to get into Dalaran. All you gotta do then is group with the mage, have him/her join a bg in Dalaran, and your in. Honestly I didn't have a whole lot of interest in leveling just yet so this was the first step on my WoTLK adventure. I then went to the coin pool, there is a fishing trainer right there (if you forgot to train grand master) and using +100 lures I started to fish for coins. Luckily there is a mail box LITERALLY right behind you, and the bank is just a few steps south as well, I saved all my gold coins, only throwing them back for coin buff when I had two of the same. Luckily my gear gives me +52 fishing, so none got away. Needless to say I was the only one there and got countless amounts of "how'd you get in there??" seemed by the end of the night though people were figuring it out as I saw 100g bg groups in trade to get in. The coin quest took me from 375 to almost exactly 425 fishing (will post stats in another forum) which left me with just "Northerend Angler" to complete. This was quite annoying, but not overly difficult. The only pools I felt I shouldn't be able to get to was the pool of Nettlefish in Sholazar Basin. The first pool I saw when I entered the zone was surrounded by 76 crocs. HOWEVER, if you look west of the pool you will see some rocks, get on those rocks, and you wont agro the crocs. There may be other pools that are easier to get, but this was the last fish I needed sop I just went for it. The hardest part of this quest was running virtually east to west of the entire new world, but you really wont die as much as you think (really only when u get lost). So thats it, I'm after that sewer rat which I will post stats for when I obtain him, then on to REALLY doing some WOTLK!

    Just a question, you said you kept all gold coins in bank just throwing back the ones you got twice. Is it for your personal collection, or because you need to keep the coins in order to have them counted for the achievement?

    I mind about getting up in Dalaran with a mage to finish that quickly, or wait to be 74 to do that naturally. I think I'll wait a little. I'm happy enough to have completed pre-wotlk achievements just on tuesday. Anyway it seems to be quick to finish :)

    once you catch them you get achievement, but as an orc rogue.....i "horde" fishing items/fish. I would actually say that i have the most comprehensive fishing item/raw fish museum as gbank tabs in the game lol. you could easily throw back any gold coin as soon as u got it. Definitely a quick finish especially at 74 + flight paths.

    Yeah, I got two of the Titanium Seal also.
    I got lucky on my first cast in the sewers I fished up the Giant Rat.

    I am lv 450 fish skill base skill maxed. And i completed all fish achievements except for the sewer rat. Missing Nat Pagles blue fishing rod, the epic fish rod, and some of the fish bonus gear.

    I became salty very early this morning. The fountain was a bitch and a half, many many casts to get the last gold coin I needed. I managed to get the sewer rat within 100 casts in the underbelly afterwards, probably blizzards way of saying sorry to me.

    Got the Salty title yesterday morning. I'm so happy with it and must say it was easer then i thought.

    850 casts to get all the coins in Dalaran, bit after i got 450 fishing skill (the last gold one was ofc the hardest).

    Now i only want the sewer rat, and Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole ofc.

    This site is great. Helped me out million times.
