    Add one more to the Salty bunch - got the title this morning at about 12:00 am server time on Mug'thol. I didn't really keep metrics, but subjectively it seemed like the Mr. Pinchy achievement was the toughest (due to ganking and over-fishing of the schools on my server, along with the glacial respawn rate), followed by the coin achievement (took forever to get the last gold coin). "The One That Didn't Get Away" actually wasn't too bad - it takes a while, but you're out there by yourself for the most part (I was fishing in Stonebull Lake), and it's one where you can mindlessly cast/loot while watching a movie or something. The others weren't really difficult at all, and I'd already won the Stranglethorn event some time ago, and that Arcanite Fishing Pole came in *real* handy. I am somewhat put off that I now have an extra Mr. Pinchy that I have no use for - I'd gone literally months without getting him, and this past Saturday I got two in 15 minutes. :-)

    Mega gratz to all who have the title, and those who are still working on it have my utmost respect and sympathy. It's not a title that you will see very often, and the relative rarity of it is what motivated me to get it. Bring it, little fishies!!

    Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 4:30 pm I finally got the last achievement by fishing up /script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Shift-click this to place a link into a chat message: \124cff1eff00\124Hitem:44703:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h[Dark Herring]\124h\124r"); in Winter's Breath Lake located in Howling Fjord.

    Thousands of fish, crates, stranglethorn, floating debris, coins all so I could get those 5 letters in front of my name .... totally worth it!

    From henceforth I shall be known as "Salty Bahlz"!

    This past sunday I finally managed the STV extravaganza and claimed my title. /cheer!

    Have to add that this is a draenei char, created this past summer; and I got somewhat lucky I guess, as STV grew somewhat void of competitors during the weeks following the expansion release.. (first sunday was horrible though, so many people in STV on The Maelstrom-EU!)

    first of all: congratulations to all the other saltys.

    i became salty on november 15th, two days after release. (yes, i am from germany, wrath was released a day later here.)
    the days after the release i had a lot of work to do irl, so i really had no time to level my char and so i decided to level fishing an getting achievements instead.
    first i travelled northrend and searched all the new pools of fish (big thanks to el for the great discription where to find them).
    then i took the chance to fish in the dalaran fountain. luckily i was the only one on our server fishing there as all the other players where leveling. it took me about 5h to get all the coins and strange enough i was rewardet some 40 titanium seals of dalaran (my mailbox was full with them -_-)

    having achieved the coinmaster i became the first salty on "das syndikat" - eu.
    it may be possible that i am the first salty in germany, perhaps the eu, but i dont know. unfortunately there is no source to check this.

    i would like to thank el for this wonderful database, guide and forum. it helped me alot to achieve every single fishing achievement ingame.

    next step are the cooking achievements. 17 recipes to go to gain the title

    for your information: in germany, the title salty does not exist. instead you gain the title "schrecken der meere" what could best be translatet to "terror of the seas"
