[Fishing] Sea Pony - How many casts?

    I got it on my 190th cast, with a 638 skill (Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat, Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole, Bright Baubles) in open water while standing on the rocks right off the dock. I was expecting this to be a horrendously tedious farm, but it was actually rather peaceful... and now I have an adorable little sea pony which makes it all worth it! Hope this was helpful.     Level 30, fishing skill around 100 when I started. I went around to the cove mentioned on the site and got it 18 casts later. So cute!

    My Tauren Hunter (my first toon) has had terrific fishing luck all along. When I was leveling fishing in Mulgore, I'd get potions and all sorts of goodies. She got her Sea Pony after about 20 casts off the dock and also the achievement for 'The One That Didn't Get Away'.

    My Nelf Hunter, on the other hand, has always had terrible fishing luck. She continues to fish up trash and has spent a couple of hours on the dock, trying to get that Sea Pony. I'm not going to worry about getting the rare fish achievement with her.
