[Fishing] Sea Turtle Mount photos - share them!

    Our guild just got its second turtle. Both were caught from frozen sea schools very quickly. It's probably just luck but it's fairly odd.

    Here is my Turtle. This it I think the 5th one in my guild. most of our guildies got it in the first hour of trying >.<

    I spent about 20 hours fishing till I got one.

    As per the achievement tooltip, it's any pool in Northrend. I caught mine in a river in Grizzly Hills just east of Camp Oneqwah today.

    I caught mine in Scholazar Basin in a river. Comes form any Northrend pool.

    Made this pic to challenge a guildie showing off his TL Proto, lol. Fished it from a Dragonfin Angelfish school, since I figured I may as well stock the bank while doing this (unlike Dark Herring)

    I caught mine a few days ago in The Frozen Sea in Borean Tundra. Took me about 30 minutes to fish and now he is the only mount I ride while in Dalaran. Here's a SS of me and Speedy with his new friend:

    I couldn't be happier this night. I caught him in an Dragonfin school in Dragonblight. I fished once in the school, logged out, logged in, and fished the 2nd time in the same school, where he was waiting for me! :)

    It droped in the waters just west of amberpine lodge in grizzly hills.

    I'm still farming this guy, I've been spending all my play time over the past few days fishing pools. It's getting incredibly tedious but tips for people that spend long periods of time fishing this sucker

    - Don't think about the turtle dropping every catch
    - Watch a movie or something while you are fishing to keep your mind off the endless fishing
    - Keep looking at armory to remind yourself that it actually exists
    - Don't give up, it will drop eventually

    Caught mine tonight!!!!

    For the what its worth department, the photo shows the location I made the catch. (41,76) was the catch pool. Its in Borean Tundra at Nasam's Talon. This is west of Riplash Strand. I had fished here before several times as this local produces three and sometimes four pools very close together. my level 74 with 253 fishing.

    about 2200 fish and other things (boxes n crystallized water) and no turtle =( I have been fishing for a few hours for the past 2 days. I hope it drops soon PLEASE DROP!

    I leveled my fishing from 50-450 fishing for this mount and beyond. I fished everyday for hours upon hours for 2 weeks.( It seemed much longer.) But during the process I gained this unexpected love for WoW fishing. I'm a lvl 80 belf dk and as soon as I turned lvl 80 I just became this WoW fisherlady. If you are going for this mount and REALLY want it, I recommend fishing for it in the frozen sea around the different Kalu'ak settlements and doing the low lvl quests and the dailies when you come back everyday. It helps the time pass by and you can get that amazing fishing pole the faction sells! In the pictures I'm going to link you can see on my fishing buddy (which I had just gotten THAT DAY I caught the turtle.) how many fish I caught in this particular area in this particular session. Please realize I did this every single day for about 2 weeks in different areas in Northerend but ended up my last few sessions staying in the frozen sea alone because my logic told me sea turtles are probably in the SEA and the Unu'pe giant turtle boats floating by reminded me what I was fishing for.The day I caught the turtle I was starting to doubt if it even existed anymore. I also wanted to add that the DK water walking ability makes fishing awesome! I've gotten this mount,Dalaran Rat, Magical crawdad and two baby croc pets from the Outland quests AND learned fishing is a great way to make gold.

    Exact location I caught the turtle. The little yellow dot in front of me is the exact fishing school I caught her in. I fell in the water but was too happy to care.

    The other Images you can see how many fish I caught on this try which was 534 (all from just this area). You can also see the messages I got on my screen and the turtle in my bag. Again this wasnt the first time I tried this was my daily normal till I caught it.

    I finally caught the sea turtle this morning!! =)
    It took me 5631 casts in Grizzly Hills and a couple of hundreds in other northrend pools, though Grizzly was my primary farming grounds.
