I gave the STV Contest a shot today. Although I didn't win I noticed that some of my tastyfish werent being looted. After a few more catches that didnt count i realized i was re-casting too fast. I had assumed that seeing the loot window with tasty fish in it that auto loot would kick in while i hit my cast hotkey. so take that extra split sec to wait for the window to close b4 u recast and watch your stacks in your bags. good luck to all

I actually just won the contest yesterday. I used fishing buddy (i think? addon that lets you double right click to cast and auto loots among other things). I also fished with my bag open to keep a count of the fish. What you're saying is right though, don't recast until it auto loots or you miss out on the fish. I also noticed that even if I was dead on in the pool, sometimes I would get fish other than Tastyfish. Don't know if this was a bug or if it happens to others as well. Awesome, congrats! I'm still fishing for my rare fish for the salty title, hoping it wont be long though. Been pretty lucky on everything else, figures this will be the grind. 1000 casts and counting.
yeah i mighta won with some of that good luck u tossed my way thanks man. i know how grinds are im the only cook/angler in my guild so im solo farming the magnificent fish feast achievement. 2,500 some odd catches so far but a long ways to go. at least i hav a good chance of gettin that turtle while i do it or at least thats wut ive been tellin myself helps keep me goin haha. along the way i already got the dragon feast so hey im makein progress. i had gotten the dark herring outa northrend. keep up the good fight man youll get it!
You don't need to keep your bags open, just make a macro
