[Fishing] Special Acvhiement Gear!

    Hey guys, who else thought it would be cool if getting the 'Hail to the Chef' and 'Accomplished angler' acvhiements, gave us a piece of gear to help with out professions? I was thinking:

    Chef's Hat (Rare Quality)
    Head
    Cloth
    Equip: Gives a chance to create two of the item you are cooking (give it like a 5% proc rate)
    AND/OR
    Use: Creates a northern spice out of a soothing spice (12 hr cooldown)

    Fisherman's Vest (Would look like a vest covered in hooks/lures and such) (Rare Quality)
    Chest
    Cloth
    Equip: +5 Fishing
    Use: Apply one of the various lures from your vest to your fishing rod (Would have a 50% chance to apply a +75 lure, a 45% chance to apply a +100 lure, and a 5% chance to apply a massive +120 lure!)

    While it's not a bad idea, it will never happen *quite* the way you have suggested. Blizzard have made it pretty clear that the rewards from completing achievements are only ever cosmetic - they have no effect on actual gameplay.

    What would be cool though (and more likely) would be if you got items which simply looked cool. A chef's toque (hat) would look awesome and be a great reward for someone with the Chef title. Something like a special fishing bobber might be cool for the Salty title. Something that people will notice when they are fishing next to you. Most people have existing fishing outfits, but a custom model for your fishing bobber would make you stand out even more.

    While I agree with you to an extent, you cannot say the rewards are ENTIRELY cosmetic, as some of the flying reward mounts are 310% speed increase (which would affect gameplay to a limited extent for those of us who are just now getting used to our 280% mounts).

    Also, there are some profession recipes tied in to achievements, for example:

    You can only learn the 'Deathchill Cloak' recipe if you have completed the lore master of northrend achievement
