[Fishing] Statistic probability?

    Curious....

    Anyone has any takers on what the chances are to catch the Turtle mount, Dark herring and the Blacktip shark in 1 catch "Catch of the century" ???

    or is it not possible!

    Assuming they are independent probabilities you can just multiply the chance of getting each at the first catch.

    Just making up numbers but let's assume:

    Turtle = 1/5000
    Dark Herring = 1/1000
    Shark = 1/500

    That'd be 1/5000*1/1000*1/500=1/2500000000 (or 1 on 2.5 billion).

    It may be not possible, I thought there was evidence that the way probabilities are calculated is a cascade and that some things are in pots of probability. It could well be that dark herring and turtle specifically are in a pot of a special drop event.

    Well, the dark herring comes as a suckerfish, so does the Blacktip...but every time I have gotten the turtle (yes I have more than 2 of these shells) she comes alone.. so it might not be achivable... :((((((

    Someone on the regular forums claimed to have gotten the turtle on his first cast. I got it on a DK alt on something like the 2nd or 3rd cast.
