The reward was changed in 2.3.0, and varies by character level:
70: 1G 12s
68: 1G
39: 11s
19: 1s 50c

Thanks for posting this. I was disapointed when they changed this, and was currious what the level's/values were. It would be nice if they modified this for a more even curve (1.5S for 19, 5.5S for 29, 11S for 39, 33S for 49, 68S for 59, 1G for 69, 1.12s for 70).
My level 18 got the fishing hat today, and was getting 2.5 silver per 5-stack of tastyfish, so I think the numbers from wowhead are a bit off or obsolete.
