Just wanted to say thank you to elanglin.com. About 4 months ago I started off with your leveling fishing and cooking together guide. And while leveling fishing I decided I wanted to try for salty. I went through most of the achievements pretty quickly with your guys help. I got it to the point where I just needed an STV win and a rare fish for my title. I actually ended up catching my rare fish while half trying for the Turtle mount in fangtooth herring schools. I caught it after 3118 total fish caught on this character.
Well yesterday was the 5th time I did the tournament on this character (fished in the tourny countless times on twinks though). I ended up getting about 5 guildies to come help me (offered them 100g if I lose, 200g if I lose... didn't get as much help as I wanted so I ended up giving them 500g each for the win). I fished the area behind the arena. I've used this area before and seems to be the best as far as amount of pools in a small area. And because I am alliance and it is usually a horde controlled area, I was able to fish every single pool that spawned, because there were no alliance to compete with.
I caught my 40th Tasty Fish at about 2:15 ST. I think I got very lucky with the spawns. I never had to move more then a few yards to get to the next pool. And my help was able to control any competition from the horde.
Anyways thank you. I am very happy with my Salty title. But I feel the look just isn't complete til I get that turtle, I'm somewhat fishing for it casually, by fishing up fish feasts for my guild. As far as acheivements go I just have the Turtle Mount and 1 more Northrend Fishing daily left.
